ELWIN SHOES FOR TODAY & FOR THE FUTURE.
What the fluff?
Thermoregulation
Merino sheep are happy chilling in -15C to 35C degree weather, all thanks to their wool’s thermoregulating properties.
The natural bends in
the fiber work to trap air when it's cold, creating an insulating layer, and quickly transports sweat away from the skin, keeping you cool and dry.
Odourless & Antibacterial
Merino wool naturally has an antibacterial effect: the keratin (protein molecules in the fibers) absorbs and break down odor-forming bacteria. The wool fibers are also porous, meaning that sweat evaporates more easily, and leaves your feet drier.
Eco-friendly
Merino wool is a natural, regrowing raw material. The sheep need to be sheared regularly to keep them healthy. The material of elwin is biodegradable as wool breaks down after about 12 months, releasing nutrients back into the soil.
Comfort
Unlike traditional wool, Merino wool is softer, thanks to its super-fine texture. It's so fine, that human skin can't even register an itching sensation if it brushes against you.
